Our suggestions for Whirlpool WFC7500VW Washer problems.

The Whirlpool washer WFC7500VW has installed in many buildings, in GTA. This is a 24 inch apartment size washer. This particular model is not very reliable and exhibits a few issues. I am listing here the issues and the explanations in order to expedite the repair/replacement process.

Error Code F06 or Machine will not spin the clothes; The "F06" fault code indicates a drive motor tachometer error. This means the control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down.

Suggestion:
Parts for the repair are too expensive. In this case we suggest replacing the machine with Blomberg WM72200W - $850+Hst

Error Code A10; The "A10" fault code indicates a drain system failure. In 90% of cases there is a piece of garment stuck inside the drain system. In 20% of cases the drain pump has failed. If a garment is stuck inside then, there is no need for parts. Otherwise the drain pump needs to be replaced.

Suggestion:
Drain pump is on the expensive side, however if the machine is in good condition repair would be a viable option. If a garment is stuck then the repair option is an inexpensive solution.

Failure to start the machine after multiple tries; This occurs due to the door latch and door not engaging in order for the computer to recognize that the appliance is safe to receive water.

Suggestion:
The part is on the expensive side, however if the machine is in good condition repair would be a viable option. If the gasket is not moldy then this repair would last a few more years given that other components do not fail.

Moldy door seal/rubber gasket; Front load washer do get mold on the rubber seal if they are not let to air dry or dried out with a cloth after the wash.

Suggestion:
The gasket is expensive and at the moment is not available. In case that the mold is not that bad then the washer is usable as it does not affect how the machine washes or the cleanliness of the clothes. In cases where the mold has overtaken the machine and it gives out a foul smell we would suggest replacing the appliance.

Conclusion:
There are too many components that fail on this washer. As a model it is not reliable and parts are way too expensive. Suggesting replacements to owners would be a better solution. In the short term they will spend a bit more however with the new washer they will get 1 year of full warranty and two years of parts only warranty. The Blomeberg has proven to be a reliable machine and solid product.
